Geographic Range:
Widespread and common in all open areas on both slopes, from sea level to 2500 m. Especially common in pasturelands above 1500 m, where the hostplant is an abundant weed.

Unique Characteristics:
The Costa Rican population differ from the migratory North American population by not having the FW margin excavated.
