Habitat: Lower mid-mountain forests; canopy and edges of forests.

Los avistamientos LPWG: Common May to October; scarce or almost absent November to April.

Características especiales: Flares purple feathers behind when excited; uses La Paz Waterfall Gardens areas after breeding in lower areas.

Marcas: Males and females are large and brownish with a straight bill.
