Nombre científico: Selasphorus scintilla.

Tamaño: 2 1/2” (6.5 cm).

Distribución mundial: Costa Rica to West Panama.

Habitat: Mid-mountain areas normally on the Pacific slope.

Los avistamientos LPWG: Uncommon to scarce at feeders from January to May; usually absent June to December.

Características especiales: Very small Tamaño, almost bee-like. An uncommon visitor from the Central Valley.

Marcas: Small Tamaño, light cinnamon-brown chest and belly. The central tail retrices is cinnamon, not green as in the Volcano Hummingbird.
