Distribución mundial: Costa Rica to West Panama

Habitat: Foothills and mid-elevations of the Caribbean slope.

Los avistamientos LPWG: Scarce to uncommon at feeders.

Características especiales: Its limited habitat.

Marcas: A pale lilac throat accents the white belly of the male. The female does not have the lilac marking. All Mountain-gems (male and female alike) have a white post-ocular eye stripe.
