World Distribution: NE Mexico to Central Costa Rica
Habitat: Open treed areas, farms, forest edges, lowland and foothill
areas.
LPWG Sightings: Very rare. One documented sighting on July 2002 at the feeders.
Special Features: Increasing its habitat southward.
Field Marks: Male is green with a purplish-black stripe on its
chest while the female has a blackish-green stripe on a white chest
